Tom Rosenberg - acrylic on acrylic-

    Tom Rosenberg

    METAMORPHOSIS

Recognizing the seismic shift in his works from the "Affirmations" to the "Meditations" Ross reclaimed his original family name Rosenberg as his name for his current abstract works, which are created with layers of paints of clear acrylic panels.

"With this technique of reverse painting, there is always an element of surprise. While I work,I try to keep my logical and academic mind at bay, instead intuitively choosing colors and patterns. Each painting seems to be an exercise in letting go. Fairly soon after beginning a piece.I loose awareness of time and place, almost as if entering my own meditative state. Each little shape and section becomes a world into itself. Now, I've come to realize that the paintings themselves are meditations.

"My hope is that they will resonate with viewers and reflect the energy and the spirit in which they were created".
